In the field of power testing equipment, every technological breakthrough and the birth of new products are the crystallization of the hard work and wisdom of countless power workers. Recently, Wuhan Huayi Power successfully developed and delivered a 4000kVA/800kV variable frequency series resonance test device. Behind this achievement lies nearly 20 days and nights of arduous struggle and unremitting efforts.
When this project task was assigned, the entire team was fully aware of the heavy responsibility on their shoulders. From the repeated review of the design drawings to the meticulous selection of components, every step was aimed at perfection. This device adopts an integrated design of the voltage divider and the reactor, which effectively reduces the size of the equipment and greatly improves the operational stability. Meanwhile, both the voltage divider and the reactor are equipped with shed structures. By increasing the surface creepage path, the creepage distance is significantly enlarged, enabling the device to handle complex working conditions with ease.
During the production process, the team encountered numerous difficulties. For example, the integrated structure has extremely high requirements for installation accuracy, and the size calibration of the shed also needs to be precisely controlled. Even a slight deviation could affect the performance of the entire device. However, the team members did not waver at all. Through repeated debugging and process improvements, they finally managed to overcome these challenges successfully.

After the device was assembled, it was time for the debugging phase. Unfortunately, this period coincided with the sweltering summer, and the outdoor temperature was extremely high. The debugging work had to be carried out outdoors, and the intense sunlight shone directly on the equipment and the debugging personnel. At this moment, the advantages of the shed design were fully demonstrated. The increased creepage distance allows the device to maintain stable insulation performance even in high-temperature environments, avoiding test errors.
Despite the unbearable heat and the sweat soaking through their clothes, everyone was fully concentrated on the debugging work. Every data reading and every parameter adjustment reflected their dedication to the job and their pursuit of product quality. After several hours of hard work under the scorching sun, finally, all the performance indicators of the device reached or even exceeded the expectations. Seeing the equipment running stably and outputting accurate test data, the team members couldn't help but show relieved smiles on their faces.
After nearly 20 days of arduous efforts, this 4000kVA/800kV series resonance test device, which integrates the design of the integrated voltage divider and reactor and the shed structure for increasing the creepage distance, has finally been completed and delivered. It is about to head to its new position to ensure the insulation performance tests of various high-voltage equipment in the power system.
